Stacy Sharp Giles was appointed by Governor Kay Ivey to the independent community pharmacy seat of the Board for a 5-year term beginning in 2023. Stacy replaces outgoing President Chris Phung. Stacy graduated Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy in 1992 and opened Rainsville Drugs in Rainsville, AL that same year.
She has worked in the community pharmacy setting since the age of 17. Stacy’s pharmacy practice has thrived on serving patients’ prescription needs along with other services including vaccinations, hormone testing, biometric screenings, compounding, all with an emphasis on personalized care. Stacy is a past president of the Alabama Pharmacy Association where she continues to be actively involved, and also a member of NCPA.
She is engaged at the Harrison College of Pharmacy as an Affiliate Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy Practice, preceptor, life member of the Auburn Pharmacy Alumni Affiliate, and donor of an Auburn Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship. Stacy’s civic duties have included volunteering activities with Village Friends, Reach, Alzheimer’s Association, and Backpack International.
Stacy also serves as a member of the Auburn Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Some of her philanthropic beneficiaries include Charity Water, Dekalb County Children’s Advocacy Center, Cru, HCOP, and the APA Scholarship Fund.
